If you missed E. J.'s Open Studio during Cambridge Open Studios this Spring, you still have a chance to see her art this summer. The 2010 Cambridge Art Association New Members Show runs through 28 July at the Kathryn Schultz Gallery in Cambridge, MA. The opening reception is Saturday, 10 July, 12--2pm. This annual exhibit is a showcase of the wide variety of media used by recently-accepted Cambridge Art Association members. E. J.'s contribution is "A House With A Past," a scratchboard piece based on the true story of the house she lives in. It will be included in the Boston Comics Roundtable's Hallowe'en 2010 anthology, HELLBOUND. Kathryn Schultz Gallery is at 25 Lowell Street, just off of Mount Auburn Street across from Mount Auburn Hospital. There is a small parking lot adjoining the gallery, and the #71 and #73 buses stop a block away. E. J. Barnes's Gallery Notes - E.J. in Cambridge Open Studios this weekend

Cartoonist, illustrator, and animator E. J. Barnes will be opening her home studio at 18 Chalk Street to the public Saturday and Sunday, 22--23 May, during Cambridge Open Studios/Central. Cambridge Open Studios is an annual event organized by the Cambridge Arts Council, an agency of Cambridge City Hall. Different parts of Cambridge hold their Open Studios on different weekends; the Central (Central Square/Inman Square/Cambridgeport) Open Studios are the last weekend of this event. E. J. Barnes's Gallery Notes - Solo Show at Middle East Restaurant

"Laughing To Keep From Crying: The Political Cartoons of E. J. Barnes" will be Upstairs at the Middle East Restaurant in Cambridge, MA , during the month of April. The solo exhibition at the restaurant fronting the popular Cambridge nightspot will feature E. J. Barnes's political cartoons, including many from her 2005--2009 run as editorial cartoonist for the (Greenfield, MA) Recorder, as well as some that have never before been seen. Many of these focus on national and Massachusetts-based issues. The show is visible to the public from 3 April to 1 May 2010. There will be a reception with light refreshments on Saturday, 17 April, 3--5pm. E. J. Barnes's Gallery Notes Art of the Boston Comics Roundtable

E. J. will have a piece in the group show, "Art of the <a href="http://www.bostoncomicsroundtable.com">Boston Comics Roundtable</a>", which will be showing at the <a href="http://www.marbleheadarts.org">Marblehead Arts Association</a> 628 March 2010. Marblehead Arts Association is at 8 Hooper Street in Marblehead, Massachusetts, on the North Shore north-east of Boston. Opening reception for this exhibition will be on Sunday, 7 March, 24pm. Refreshments will be served.
